 A replacement fee may apply for lost cards. You must cancel reoccurring charges that normally post to the Lost/Stolen card.

Safety Tips

• Never give your PIN to anyone
• Never write your PIN in a conspicuous place, where someone could see it.
• Report the loss or theft of your Debit Card right away.
• Sign the back of your card as soon as you receive it. If you do not receive your card within 2 weeks of ordering it, contact the credit union immediately.
• Do not keep your PIN and card together.

Authorization Limit

Visa® debit card authorizations are limited to a maximum dollar amount per transaction. This may affect signature debit card transactions. For more information, please contact a Call Center Representative at 507-535-1460 or 800-535-2129.

Debit Card Courtesy Pay

 Debit Card Courtesy Pay was created to help you in an emergency or prevent embarrassment when there is not enough money in your Checking Account to cover a Debit Card (PIN or signature-based purchase) or ATM transaction.  With this service, MEFCU may authorize your Debit Card (PIN or signature-based purchase) purchase and ATM transactions, even if there is not enough money in your checking account to cover them. Plus, there is no fee to enroll, and no fee will be charged unless you use the service.

This service is in addition to MEFCU’s Courtesy Pay, which you may already have to pay checks and ACH transactions.  To enroll in this service, simply follow the link, complete the form and return it to any office.

Enroll in Debit Card Courtesy Pay

When using your VISA® Debit Card with your PIN Code:

• You may use your VISA® Debit Card with a PIN number at retail locations and at ATM machines. There is no charge for using your Debit Card for purchases at retail locations.
• With your MEFCU VISA® Debit Card, there is no fee for transactions at a Mayo Employees Federal Credit Union ATM. We allow four transactions at no charge each month at non-MEFCU ATMs; a $1 charge per withdrawal will be assessed thereafter.
• When using your card at an ATM machine not owned by MEFCU, you may be charged by the owner of the machine. You will be notified by a message on the screen of the ATM if you will be charged before processing your transaction. You have the option to cancel your transaction at that time.
